Child Safety

Where your child’s safety is concerned, there is no substitute for constant adult supervision. Unfortunately, constant supervision simply is not possible, especially in situations where there is more than one child to watch. All too often a moment’s inattention costs a child his or her life. We know this and now must live with the result. We hope that through this website, you may find tips and resources that will reduce the risk to a level that affords you the greatest level of safety, while allowing you and your child to enjoy the world God has given us.

Upcoming Events

2nd Annual Bug-Bash and Summer Splash

Saturday, June 07, 2008, 10am - 2 pm.

St. Lucie County Fairgrounds

After last year’s extraordinary response for our first Bug Bash, we have decided to hold it away from home (Our house was busting at the seams last year!!)

And…There will be a twist this year. As you know, The Katy Foundation has hosted a toy drive each year to supply The Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center with toys, activities, and educational items to assist the children and their families while receiving services from the facility. The Katy Foundation has just recently adopted the newly expanded Pediatrics Department at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute. The admission into the Bug-Bash is to simply bring a new, unwrapped toy or item(s) from the supply list to the front door of the Bash.

Join The Church Family, Cathy Back, CPA; Scream for Your Life; and Bayside Solutions, Inc. for food, music, bounce houses, raffles, safety talks and displays, car show, and many other games and activities. Many area businesses have committed to donating items for raffle baskets and door prizes. Some of those businesses are: Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday’s, Sunrise Theatre and Fort Pierce Downtown, Brewer’s Cafe’, Come out and join us while The Katy Foundation continues to grow. We are looking for more sponsors to help support the Bash - Give us a call at 772.465.1515 if you would like to volunteer, donate, or be included in the fun.
